Difference Between Inconel 600 and 718
Inconel 600
Inconel® 600 is also known as Nicrofer 716, Pyromet Alloy 600, and Nicrimphy 600. Its a Nickel-Chromium alloy with good resistance to oxidation and corrosion at high temperatures. Inconel® 600 is highly resistant to chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking due to the high nickel content. Age-hardening treatments are not required, as Inconel® 600 is hardened and strengthened through cold work only. Inconel® 600 can operate from cryogenic temperatures to 700°F (370°C).

Inconel 718
Alloy 718 is a precipitation hardenable nickel-based alloy designed to display exceptionally high yield, tensile and creep-rupture properties at temperatures up to 1300°F. The sluggish age-hardening response of alloy 718 permits annealing and welding without spontaneous hardening during heating and cooling.
